DYSS Rajouri organizes cricket trials at sports stadium

RAJOURI, JANUARY 6: On the directions of the DG YSS, Anuradha Gupta, the Directorate of Youth Services and Sports, District Rajouri, today conducted spirited cricket trials at the Sports Stadium, Rajouri, for boys and girls in the Under-17 and Under-19 categories.

The trials aimed to select district teams for the upcoming YSS Cup and witnessed enthusiastic participation from across Rajouri, including determined youngsters from far-flung areas who traveled with the sole ambition of showcasing their talent.

From the opening ball to the final run, the atmosphere brimmed with energy and ambition. Young cricketers displayed refined technique, fitness and teamwork, reflecting their determination to represent Rajouri with pride.

Coaches and mentors guided the aspirants, focusing on discipline, resilience and the ability to perform under pressure. The screening emphasized technical skill, athleticism and the potential to grow into championship-level players.

Speaking on the occasion, the DYSSO Rajouri, Mohd Qasim said that today’s trials highlighted that talent thrives in every corner of the district. “These trials are not just a competition but a launch pad for young cricketers to rise and shine”, he added.

He informed that the final squad for both boys and girls in U-17 and U-19 categories will be announced shortly, ahead of the upcoming Jammu event.
