Budgam/Srinagar, April 9: Alamdar Memorial College of Nursing & Medical Technology, Charar-i-Sharief, and Syed Mantaqui Memorial College of Nursing and Medical Technology (SMMCN&MT) celebrated World Health Day with active participation from students and faculty, organizing a series of public health awareness programmes.
The events were held under the global theme “Together for Health: Stand with Science,” emphasizing the importance of evidence-based healthcare and collective responsibility in promoting community well-being.
At Alamdar Memorial College, activities included a poster presentation competition and a road rally, where students highlighted key health issues and advocated scientific approaches to healthcare. The programme was organized by Principal Dr. Zamrooda Akhter, who stressed the importance of scientific integrity and public health awareness.
At Syed Mantaqui Memorial College, the celebration was organized in collaboration with the Health and Wellness Club. Activities such as debates and poster presentations encouraged students to engage with contemporary health challenges. The event was organized by Ms. Ulfat Amin and Ms. Salma Amin, coordinated by Ms. Insha Rasool, and Ms. Mubashir Bashir.
