GANDERBAL, Apr 17: Wayil, a charming tourist village located in the Ganderbal district of Jammu and Kashmir, India, has become a popular destination for visitors seeking to experience natural beauty and local culture. Situated on the banks of the Sind River, around 8 km from Ganderbal and 30 km northeast from Srinagar, the village is easily accessible via the NH 1D highway that connects Srinagar and Ladakh.

One of the highlights of Wayil is the historic Wayil Bridge, which spans over the Indus River and offers spectacular views of the surrounding landscape. The bridge is a popular attraction for tourists who enjoy taking photographs and admiring the picturesque scenery.

In addition to the bridge, Wayil offers various other tourist activities such as boating and fishing opportunities for visitors to enjoy. The village is also surrounded by beautiful natural attractions such as the Sind Valley, known for its lush green meadows, cascading waterfalls, and vibrant flora and fauna.

Furthermore, nearby Baltal, a base camp for the annual Amarnath Yatra, is a popular trekking destination and offers stunning views of the surrounding snow-capped mountains.

Overall, Wayil and its surrounding areas provide a perfect blend of cultural heritage, natural beauty, and adventure activities that make it an ideal destination for tourists looking to explore the region.
