IN CONTINUATION TO WAR AGAINST DRUGS; GANDERBAL POLICE APPREHENDED TWO DRUG PEDDLERS ALONGWITH PSYCHOTROPIC SUBSTANCE.
CASE REGISTERED UNDER RELEVANT SECTIONS
GANDERBAL 14TH MAY 2023 On the directions of SSP Ganderbal Shri Nikhil Borkar-IPS, under the supervision of DySP Hqr’s Ganderbal, Special Police Team led by I/C PP Shadipora arrested two Drug Peddlers along with Contraband Substance.
During surprise Naka checking, Two Drug Peddlers were held at Batwina. On their personal search, Psychotropic Substance Codeine Phosphate, Petril Clonazepam & Spasmo-Proxyvon Plus Capsules were recovered from their possession & seized on the spot. The accused were arrested who disclosed their identities as; Shabir Ahmad Zargar S/O Bashir Ahmad Zargar and Mohd Ashraf Zargar S/O Nazir Ahmad Zargar, both residents of Batwina.
In this regard, Case FIR No. *129/2023,* under relevant sections of law registered at PS Ganderbal & investigation has been taken up.
War against drugs shall continue in future also; Ganderbal Police requests general public to come forward & share inputs regarding drug Peddling in the society & help J&K Police in fighting the severe menace of drugs.
