GANDERBAL POLICE ARRESTED ONE MORE DRUG PEDDLER, CONTRABAND SUBSTANCE RECOVERED
GANDERBAL: 02nd FEBRUARY 2023: To eradicate the menace of Drugs from the society and taking Stringent action against Drug Peddlers, Ganderbal Police apprehended one more Drug Peddler alongwith Contraband Substance in the jurisdiction of Police Station Kangan.
The Police Party led by SHO PS Kangan Insp. Zahoor Turk, under the supervision of SDPO Kangan Shri Muzaffar Jan-JKPS while checking at Margund Naka apprehended one person. On seeing the Police Party, the accused tried to flee away from the spot. However, the Police took hold of the accused tactfully and arrested him alongwith the Contraband Charas like Substance which was seized on the spot. The accused disclosed his identity as Shareef-U-Din Chichi S/O Ghulam Mohidin Chichi R/O Baba Reshi Chattergul.
In this regard, Case FIR No. 13/2023 under relevant sections of law was registered in PS Kangan and further investigation has been taken up.
The swift action by Ganderbal Police has been applauded by the general public. The Strict & legal action against the Drug Peddlers will continue in future also.
