Reference of 752 vacancies of Sub-Inspectors in Jammu & Kashmir Police.

References:

(i) S.O 214 dated 01.07.2021 and S.O 290 dated 20.08.2021, issued by Home Department regarding amendment in the Jammu and Kashmir Police Rules, 1960. (ii) S.O 361 dated 20.10.2021, issued by the General Administration Department regarding notification of J&K Ex-Servicemen (Re-employment in Public Services and Posts) Rules.

Apropos to the subject and references cited above, I am directed to convey that that the Competent Authority has decided to refer 752 vacancies of Sub-Inspectors, Level-6C (35700-113100) in the Pay Matrix, to the J&K Services Selection Board for filling up through direct recruitment, as per the following category wise break-up:

OSC

EWS 376 75 61 75 75

OM-Open merit, SC-Scheduled Castes, ST-Schedules Tribes, OSC- Social Caste, ALCAB- Residents of areas adjoining Line of Actual Control/International Border, RBA – Residents of Backward Areas, PSP -Pahari Speaking People, EWS-Economically Weaker Sections.

Out of the above 752 posts, 45 posts shall have to be carmarked for providing 6% Horizontal reservation to the candidates belonging to the Ex-Servicemen category, as per Explanation-A of rule 4 of J&K Reservation Rules, 2005, amended vide S.O 127 dated 20.04.2020.
