Strict warning against who involved in illegal extraction of minor minerals in Ganderbal:Officials

Ganderbal 11 Mar (KNZ): In its continued efforts to curb illegal mining in the District, the Geology and Mining Team Ganderbal headed by District Mineral Officer Er Zulfikar Mohd Shafi seized 6 vehicles found involved in illegal extraction transportation of minerals in various locations of Ganderbal .
As per reports, the operation was carried out by Geology and Mining Department in various areas of District Ganderbal as a result of which 06 vehicles including 3 tractors, 03 tippers were seized.
After seizure the vehicles were retained by respective police stations till realization of penalty from the offenders as per the rules of Geology and Mining Department.
DMO have issued strict warning to those who are involved in illegal extraction of minor minerals to avoid this illegal practice
He warned that strict action under law will be taken against the violators.
Locals appreciated the department for timely action and seized these vehicles onspot.KNZ
