One-Day Awareness Event and Debate Competition Organized by SP East Srinagar J&K Police at SKUAST Kashmir Shalimaar

In an earnest effort to combat drug abuse and promote awareness among the youth, SP East Srinagar J&K Police, Mr. Mubashir Bukhari, spearheaded a one-day awareness event and debate competition at SKUAST Kashmir Shalimaar. The event, conducted under the CAP of J&K Police, witnessed an impressive turnout of students and faculty from SKUAST Kashmir, with over 300 participants engaging in insightful discussions and activities aimed at addressing the pressing issue of drug abuse.

The event received esteemed support from distinguished dignitaries, including Hon’ble Vice Chancellor SKUAST Kashmir, Prof. Nazir Ahmad Ganai, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Joining him were luminaries such as Dean Students Welfare SKUAST Kashmir, Prof. Shahdhar, Director Youth Development & Rehabilitation Center, Dr. Mohammad Muzaffar Khan, SDPO Kothibagh, Mr. Hariprasad KK (IPS), SDPO Nehru Park, Mr. Zaheer Abbas, AEE Mr. Rahil, and Social Activist/Anchor, Mr. Nasir Ali Khan.

Dr. Muzaffar enlightened the audience with a comprehensive presentation on the initiatives of Drug De-Addiction Center Kashmir and emphasized the pivotal role of youth in combatting the menace of drugs. The engagement further witnessed an interactive session led by Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Nazir Ahmad Ganai, who commended the students for their active participation and lauded SP East Srinagar Mr. Mubashir Bukhari for selecting SKUAST Kashmir as the venue for this crucial initiative aimed at safeguarding young lives.
Reflecting on the significance of such initiatives, SP East Srinagar Mr. Mubashir Bukhari emphasized the imperative of educating the youth on the value of life and underscored the pivotal role of the police in fostering a safer environment within the city.
