BJP assigns key responsiblities to leaders denied tickets

Jammu, Sep 09 (KNO): In a bid to pacify its leaders, the BJP on Monday assigned new responsiblities to its leaders denied tickets.

As per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) former Minister Sat Sharma has been appointed as working president and former deputy chief minister Nirmal Singh as fampaign in—charge As per the party communication, Sat Sharma, party’s former president and minister in BJP—PDP government, has been reappointed as J&K BJP’s working president. He represented Jammu West constituency in the last assembly but he was replaced by Arvind Gupta as candidate.

Former deputy chief minister Nirmal Singh has been appointed as head of party’s campaign committee. He was MLA from Kathua district’s Billawar constituency, but the party fielded Satish Sharma in the segment. Moreover, party appointed former minister Sukhnandan Choudhary as vice -president of campaign.

Another former deputy CM Kavinder Gupta has been appointed as head of election management committee. He was aspirant of the party ticket from Bahu constituency, where from the party fielded Vikram Randhwa. Gupta represented erstwhile Gandhi Nagar segment, which is now bifurcated into Bahu and Jammu South—(KNO)

AP’s Muntazir Mohi-Ud-Din withdraws papers from Budgam seat

Says big guns in race, can play good role in assembly for well-being of people

Srinagar, Sep 09 (KNO): Apni Party candidate from Budgam assembly segment, Muntazir Mohi-Ud-Din withdrew his nomination papers on Monday.

Confirming it to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Muntazir said that he has withdrawn his nomination papers today to give a chance to the people to opt for the deserving candidate. “There are many big names in the electoral fray from Budgam constituency, who can play big role in the assembly for the people,” Muntazir said, adding that thus he had decided to withdraw his nomination papers today.

Pertinently, the former chief minister and National Conference (NC) Vice President Omar Abdullah, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate Aga Syed Muntazir Mehdi are among the ten candidates, who are vying for the seat—(KNO)
