Srinagar, Mar 18, : Imran Farooq, a 2008-batch officer of the Jammu & Kashmir Police Service, has been appointed as Superintendent of Police (SP) in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for a four-year tenure.
As per an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), the competent authority has approved Farooq’s induction into the CBI. His appointment will take effect from the date he assumes charge or until further orders, whichever comes earlier.
Imran Farooq who is known for his rectitude and honesty is currently serving as Additional SP in the Criminal Investigation Department’s Special Branch in Kashmir. [KNT]
