AAP condemns remarks against Colonel Sofiya Qureshi
JK News Live

Srinagar 15 Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Senior leader Muddasir Hassan has strongly condemned the continuous pattern of targeting and character assassination by certain BJP leaders, particularly the recent remarks made by BJP Minister Vijay Shah against Colonel Sofiya Qureshi, a decorated officer of the Indian Armed Forces.

“This is not an isolated incident,” said Muddasir Hassan. “We have witnessed a consistent campaign of defamation against individuals who have served the nation with integrity and pride, be it Himanshi Narwal, a courageous daughter of this country, or Vikram Misri, one of our finest diplomats and the current Foreign Secretary. And now, even Colonel Sofiya Qureshi has not been spared.”

Hassan emphasized that such targeted attacks are not only disrespectful to those who have selflessly served the country but also expose a disturbing mindset that seeks to polarize and silence. “These are not the actions of patriots, these are actions of enemies within, cloaked in power but lacking basic decency.”

He further added, “If India aspires to be a Vishwaguru, we must first tackle the ignorance, hate, and arrogance festering within our own borders. This country does not belong to any one ideology or party, it belongs to every citizen, and it is our responsibility to protect the dignity of those who serve it.”

Muddasir Hassan called upon civil society, political leaders, and youth to raise their voices against such toxic narratives. “Silence is no longer an option. Silence is complicity”
We must stand united to protect the dignity of our heroes.
