During the interaction, locals raised issues related to road widening and macadamization, protection bunds along the Sind embankment, power supply, healthcare and education facilities, door-to-door garbage collection, water supply, de-siltation and repairs of canals, among other civic amenities.

Officers and heads of departments responded patiently to the issues and grievances pertaining to their respective sectors and assured necessary follow up.

Addressing the gathering, DC said that such outreach programmes provide the administration with a first-hand understanding of the problems faced by people at the grassroots level, besides enabling feedback on developmental works already executed. He noted that the issues raised during the programme were noted by the officers and all efforts would be made to ensure timely resolution.

DC reaffirmed the district administration’s commitment to efficient, transparent and responsive governance, and emphasized continuous public engagement for improving service delivery.
