Class 10 results ready, await JKBOSE chairman’s appointment: Sakina Itoo
JK News Live

Srinagar, Jan 12: Jammu and Kashmir Education Minister Sakina Itoo on Monday said the Class 10 examination results for the winter zone of Kashmir are ready and will be declared on time, with the only delay being the pending appointment of the Chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE).

Responding to concerns over the delay, Itoo said the declaration of results requires approval from the JKBOSE Chairman, who is the competent authority to take such decisions.

“There is a proper procedure in place. Without the Chairman’s approval, the results cannot be finalised. However, the results are ready and will be announced in time, even earlier than last year,” the minister said.

JKBOSE Secretary Ghulam Hussain Sheikh also confirmed that the results are prepared and awaiting formal clearance.
“The only hurdle is the appointment of the Chairman. The government is actively working on it and the appointment is expected shortly,” he said.

The delay has caused anxiety among students in Kashmir, with many expressing concern that a late declaration could affect their academic schedules and admission processes.(KNS).
