REASI, JANUARY 29: District Development Commissioner Reasi, Nidhi Malik today convened a meeting at the DC Office Complex to approve the proposed Scale of Finance for Agriculture, Horticulture and allied sectors for the financial year 2026-27.

During the meeting, detailed deliberations were held on various components related to the cost of cultivation of different agricultural crops, horticultural produce, animal rearing and other allied activities. The approved Scale of Finance will serve as the basis for disbursement of Kisan Credit Card (KCC) loans by banks during FY 2026-27.

She emphasized the importance of ensuring a fair and realistic calculation of the Scale of Finance, keeping in view the inflation rate, high cost of cultivation in hilly areas and the need to promote remunerative crops for the overall development of the farming community. She stressed that farmers in Reasi must receive equitable financial support at par with those of other districts.

She also stressed close coordination among all stakeholders, including banks and agriculture and allied departments, to ensure timely and adequate flow of institutional credit to farmers. She directed the banks to accord due preference for prompt disbursal of KCC loans, particularly to farmers who are yet to be covered under the scheme.

The meeting was attended by Manager JCC Bank Reasi  Munish Kumar Sharma, Member secretary Chief Agriculture officer Reasi Harbans Singh, DDM NABARD Reasi Adarsh Gupta, Lead Bank Officer Reasi Raman Vikas, EDB Reasi Keshav.
