Who We Are
Asian Nama is an independent multimedia news platform built on the belief that every voice matters, every culture deserves recognition, and every untold story deserves to be heard.
Founded in July 2024 by journalist and digital media entrepreneur Ehsaan Yousf, Asian Nama was born in the remote Chenab Valley region of Jammu & Kashmir — an area rich in culture, language, and heritage, yet often overlooked by mainstream media narratives.
What started as a small grassroots initiative has now evolved into a fast-growing multilingual digital newsroom focused on journalism, storytelling, and cultural preservation. Asian Nama was created to challenge media silence around marginalized communities, developmental neglect, endangered languages, and the realities faced by people living in remote regions of India.
At its core, Asian Nama is more than just a news organization. It is a people-powered movement dedicated to truth, identity, and representation.

Our Purpose
In many parts of India, especially in remote mountain regions like Chenab Valley, important stories often remain invisible. Communities struggle with poor infrastructure, limited media attention, disappearing languages, unemployment, environmental concerns, and lack of public representation.
Asian Nama was created to bring those realities into the national conversation.
We believe journalism should not only report headlines — it should empower communities, protect cultures, and hold systems accountable.
Through ethical reporting and ground-level journalism, we aim to create a platform where ordinary people can finally be seen, heard, and understood.

Preserving Languages Through Journalism
One of the defining missions of Asian Nama is the preservation of endangered regional languages through digital media.
As modern communication increasingly replaces native dialects with dominant languages, many local identities are slowly fading away. To counter this cultural loss, Asian Nama launched a groundbreaking Multilingual News Initiative that produces news content in languages such as:
• Bhaderwahi
• Sarazi
• Gojri
• Kashmiri
• Urdu
• English
By delivering journalism in local languages, we are not only informing people — we are preserving heritage for future generations.
For many viewers and readers, Asian Nama represents the first time their mother tongue has found a professional space in modern digital journalism.

From Chenab Valley to the Nation
Although our roots remain deeply connected to Jammu & Kashmir, Asian Nama is steadily expanding into a broader national media platform.
With plans to establish regional bureaus across multiple Indian states, our vision is to build one of India’s strongest independent digital news networks while continuing to prioritize local voices and underrepresented communities.
We aim to create a future where regional journalism is not sidelined but celebrated as the foundation of authentic storytelling.

Our Vision
At Asian Nama, we see journalism as a responsibility — not just a profession.
Our mission is simple:
To inform with truth.
To preserve identity.
To amplify unheard voices.
And to connect communities across borders through responsible journalism.
From the valleys of Chenab to audiences around the world, Asian Nama continues to grow as a symbol of independent media powered by people, culture, and truth.
